Heard at Alumni Weekend

Saturday, January 10th, 2026

During Alumni Weekend in December, alumni returned to reconnect, celebrate, and share thoughts about college and beyond with current students. Here’s a snapshot of what they have been learning and the advice they gave the upperclassmen:

“Regents prepares you for the workload in college.” -Andrew Stadig, Class of 2025

“One of the things that Regents has engrained in me over the years was community and seeking people in your life that hold you accountable and are willing to draw closer to God with you.” -Morris Hoffman, Class of 2025

“It's really cool to look back and see the way that God was at work in the hard things.” -Ainsley Shonka, Class of 2025

“You’re not going to figure out what you want to do by sitting at home and thinking about it. You’ll never feel ready. You have to get out there and try things.” -Halle Trivette, Class of 2024

“Plug into a church immediately. Don't wait for the perfect place.” -Sterling Mesa, Class of 2024

“You want to be a kind person in college, a person who shows Jesus in what you do, not a person who just shoves Jesus in someone's face.” -Danielle Dellisanti, Class of 2024

“College isn’t the only way. But don't just sit there - actively chase something you might want to do.” -Danielle Dellisanti, Class of 2024

“If you stick to your Christian convictions, it matters, even if the people around don't like what you believe.” -Sterling Mesa, Class of 2025

“It's easy to become stagnant in your faith if you don't surround yourself with a community that will help you grow.” -Brenna Ruddell, Class of 2025

“If you’re going to serve, you have to give your whole self to it.” -Peter Mierzejewski, Class of 2025

“I think adversity is going to look differently for everyone but no matter what happens, God is going to use it. There aren't many things I would go back and change. There are few things more beautiful than being able to help someone who is going through something that you have already gone through.” -Halle Trivette, Class of 2024

“When you go to college, you are uprooted but that disturbance becomes new branches and shoots that are your own and there is something really beautiful in that.” -Jasmine Paurillo, Class of 2025
