Congratulations Track Team!

Congratulations to Yosi Kyner, tenth, who won the VACA State Championship in the Boys Varsity 400m, and to the Girls Middle School and Varsity teams who each placed third. “Our team improved athletically, and there were many personal bests over the course of the season,” said Coach Zach Vestal, “but what impressed me more was the community that sprang up around this team, and how the athletes rallied to support each other.” The team practiced in a field with long grass, but students made the best of it. “When they wanted to practice long jump, they found a volleyball court they could jump into. Their ability to take on challenges without complaint is a trait that will take them far in life.”
