Dear Regents friends and families,
One of the highlights of this month for me has been having many of you out to the new site for the first time since the construction process began. It is a gift to me to see the site once again through new eyes every time I get to show someone around. My job is to notice all the things that are not happening quickly enough or that need to be fixed so it has been a breath of fresh air to get to step back and reflect with you about what God is doing and how incredible this new site will be.
Over the last few weeks our community has also started dedicating the buildings to the Lord by inscribing verses on the studs of each building before the drywall goes up. The very first day that we started writing verses, I walked into the room that will be my office and found a tiny canvas of a lion that our builder had painted and wedged between the studs for me. Right now my job is often to be the one troubleshooting, holding accountable and pushing, which made this act of love so much sweeter as a reminder of the big God we are serving together.
Would you like to help us dedicate our buildings with verses? We will have another signing opportunity for local people soon, as well as a time especially for grandparents after Recitation Chapel on October 27th. If you live too far away to write a verse in person, email firstname.lastname@example.org and she would be happy to inscribe one for you.
I also wanted to invite you to our upcoming Gala celebration on November 3rd at The Wool Factory in the redeveloped Woolen Mills of Charlottesville. We are trying some new things this year and changing the format of the auction party! This year we will not have assigned tables, rather a more fluid format and a live band. Invite your friends and businesses to be one of our gala sponsors, donate auction items, and come. We are excited to celebrate God's faithfulness to Regents with you!
