Regents Welcomes Mr. Vestal

Regents is excited to welcome Zach Vestal to the Logic & Rhetoric faculty as a math and science teacher. Mr. Vestal graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2016 with a B.S. in Biology. Since then, he has worked at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, in insurance sales, and most recently at Summer’s Best Two Weeks where he worked with Regents' first-ever athletic director, Doug Smethurst.

"I want my students to gain curiosity and a sense of wonder about God's creation and the order with which He has created it, using science as the vehicle to explore that order," says Mr. Vestal. "In my classroom, I strive to build meaningful relationships with my students and to help them grow as individuals by pointing them to God as they face challenges throughout the year."

 Having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout when he was younger, Mr. Vestal still enjoys hiking and fishing as well as reading, spending time with friends, and growing in faith and the knowledge of God.
