Fifth Graders Virsit the Observatory

As part of their astronomy studies, fifth grade recently visited McCormick Observatory at UVA where they learned about the historic 26-inch McCormick Refractor which was built in 1878. The 45 foot dome of the observatory was the largest in the world when it was built!
