| Kindergarten to sixth grade have been busy planting, watering and tending gardens this spring! “Gardening creates a sense of responsibility, self-confidence, cooperation, and creativity,” says volunteer garden coordinator Emily Bascom. “It has been fun getting to know the students in each grade. I have also enjoyed seeing their surprised faces when I give them their tiny seed. They all ask such wonderful questions!” |
