Art Club Makes Craft Packets for UVA Children's Hospital

Friday, December 17th, 2021

In December the Art Club met after school to put together craft packets for children who were staying at the UVA Children’s Hospital over Christmas break. The students came up with fun crafts that the children could do in their hospital beds as they received care at Christmas! Students worked hard (and had a great time!) planning, prepping and organizing the materials into packets to deliver to the hospital. "It was sweet to see how excited the students were to help other children in need over the holidays," said art teacher Jenn Atwell. "I'm really looking forward to partnering with the children’s hospital and serving our community not just at Christmas but other times through the year!" As Regents grows, our Upper School extracurricular opportunities are growing too. The Art Club is new this year as well as an advanced art studio class. A Choir Club has also started, led by humanities teacher Tyler MacDowall. The choir's first concert was at Christmas chapel! If you have a passion you'd like to share with Regents students by leading an extracurricular club, please let us know! We are particularly hoping to add Mock Trial and a volunteer club in the near future.
