Third Grade Memorizes all of Genesis 1!

One of third grade's big challenges at the beginning of the year is memorizing and reciting all of Genesis 1! They memorize this over two months and their recitation in October lasted almost ten minutes! "We don't memorize to show off or to show how smart me are," said Head of School Courtney Palumbo at Recitation Chapel, "but to hide God's word in our hearts which Scripture commands us to do." Additionally, memorizing is like a muscle and students develop this muscle over time, which is a tool that will serve them all their lives.
