Life as a Regents First Grader

First grader Samuel W. eagerly waits to jump back into the GaGa pit for the next game which is one of the highlights around the Grammar School at recess! If you’ve never heard of GaGa ball it is similar to dodge ball but faster paced, with new games every few minutes so no one is left out for long! "I love the excitement the students bring on and off the playground," said teacher Jennifer Bryant. "First grade can be a huge adjustment with the independent work. But they want to be 'big kids' and are ready for the challenge. It takes time, but if you hold the standard, they find they can meet it and they emerge more confident!"
